Nong Khiaw Adventure Tours is the only locally owned travel firm in Nong Khiaw, using local guides and local support, so all money you pay stays in the local community.The firm was started as a local guide service in 2004 by Mr Mang, who was born in Sop Jam, a weaving village upstream the river. He developed the service and got licensed for his own travel agency in Nong Khiaw, where he also built the Nam Ou River Lodge Guesthouse in 2011.
